can’t stop watching this. this kid is SO cute!

I was sent an article this morning from the WSJ that talked about the 10 things you should NOT put in your resume. Some of them are obvious, but I wasn’t aware that there is a trend to eliminate an objective line and references available on request statement. I don’t have an objective on my resume, because quite frankly, i don’t know what my objective is. But i think it makes sense to get rid of it when you are already sending a cover letter which likely says why and what you are looking for. Anyways, check the article and full list out HERE.

When news first broke that Tiger Wood‘s main mistress, Rachel Uchitel was a UNH Grad, we were all suprised and campus was abuzz about it. It made not only the campus paper but the local paper. Not only has she remained in the headlines, she is a hot mess and has continued to her famewhore status with an appearance on Celebrity Rehab…

If that wasn’t enough, this weekend, news broke that Tiger’s alleged new girlfriend is a 22 year old former UNH volleyball player, Alyse Lahti Johnston (she did transfer to Ohio State and graduate from there) BUT she still was at our school. She is also 17 years his junior but whose counting? I was going to post a picture but all i keep coming across is her mugshot from a recent DUI and i’m not that cruel.

Apparently Tiger has a thing for us Wildcats…. Or perhaps it is just for girls who resemble is ex-wife? But let’s face it, Elin is better off. Even though it has come out as untrue, i still picture her chasing him out of their house with a golf club and hitting him,  because it would have been AWESOME. You keep doing you, girl! Don’t let all this new media bring you down again, keep moving forward- which is probably a lot easier in your new 12.2 million, 7,178-square-foot home in North Palm Beach, Fla.

for those of you who are still trying to figure out the best way to help Japan, i stumbled on this website which lists diferent organizations and how to donate. Even if it is only 10 dollars, it will make a difference- so please give what you can!

Even though this isn’t a sports blog, nor do i claim to be a sports expert, i do love sports. like alot… plus the boys at NEYD didn’t put this up so i figured i needed to step up 😉

Charlie Davies, (a native of NH!), made his return to the field for DC United 17 months after a horrific accident that left him unable to compete in the World Cup and horribly injured. He broke every major bone in his right leg; the fibula, tibia, and even the thickest bone in the human body, the femur, was shattered and required the insertion of two titanium rods. He tore ligaments in his left knee, fractured his elbow, his eye socket and his nose. He suffered major head trauma and lacerated his bladder. The accident left one dead and the driver was sentenced yesterday to two years in prison after she plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter and maiming while driving. Davies was unconscious to see all the fans holding up #9 signs at the match where the USA ultimately qualified for the World Cup the day after his accident. He was lucky to be alive and battled back to playing form one step at a time, his return to the field a far cry from when a 50ft walk on crutches was his big accomplishment..

In his inspiring and impressive return, Davies scored two goals, the first on a penalty kick, 14 minutes apart in his return to soccer. Poised to become a real threat this season, his notorious breakaway speed and ferocious turn of pace have returned and has myself and others wondering whether Davies’ return to the sport will be one of the greatest achievements in sporting history.

enjoy 🙂

Not going to lie, I’m pretty excited for this. Minus the fact that he looks more like Harry and she looks nothing like Kate. BUT it is exactly what i would expect from the typical Lifetime movie. Looks pretty legit for having been thrown together in like 4 months. Get your tissues and bottle of wine ready for April 18th, it’s going to be epic… or will it be epic-ly bad?

“It is so small a thing to have enjoyed the sun, to have lived light in the spring, to have loved, to have thought, to have done.”- Matthew Arnold

i will never understand why things like this happen..

But i am continuously amazed by the support of the UNH community and how we rally for each other when tragedy does strike. We are one huge family and even after you graduate, you still feel a part of it.

I didn’t know Todd Walker personally but know those who did and everyone just said he was an outstanding individual so his actions on this night do not suprise them in the least. Prayers and good thoughts for his family and friends.
